The two clubs have already met twice this year outside the Durand Cup, and both those meetings produced goals, which bodes well for anyone hoping tonight follows the same pattern.

Interesting to note Langsning haven’t actually won either of these recent meetings outright, going down 2-1 in June and drawing 2-2 back in December. Nongkseh will take some comfort from that record even amid their current form struggles.

Langsning FC Look to Extend Their Group E Lead Against a Nongkseh Side With Recent Bragging Rights
Langsning FC’s position at the top of Group E gives them plenty of confidence heading into tonight, even though Nongkseh SCC actually hold the edge in their two most recent meetings between the sides. That tension between current form and head to head history makes this a genuinely intriguing Meghalaya derby, with both clubs boasting deep, home grown squads capable of settling this one either way.
