The maths behind this points table follows the same format used across Indian domestic football.
Every win is worth three points, a draw earns one point for each side, and a loss earns nothing. Each team plays the other three sides in its group once, so there are only three group games to make an impression. Goal difference and goals scored are used to separate teams level on points, with head to head results checked first when two sides in the same group have met.
